No. 23 dated 10th January 2003
In
exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and
Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.1 of the Export and
Import Policy, 2002-07, the Central Government hereby amends the Export and
Import Policy, 2002-07 as under:
Paras 1,2 & 3 of the Notification No. 21/2002-07 dated the 26th December,
2002, would be amended by addition of the following: -

- 1 . . . . . after Kimberley Process (KP) Certificate- ��/ letter of
comfort �� will be added.

- 2 . . . . . after Kimberley Process (KP) Certificate- ��/ letter of
comfort �� will be added.
Para
- 3 . . ... after effective from 1.1.2003 "The provision for Letter of
Comfort as an alternative to the KP Certificate will be in force for a period of
two months only beginning 1.1.2003 in order to provide for transitional
arrangement�� will be added.
