PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 120 (RE-2008)/2004-2009
NEW DELHI, DATED THE 24^th December, 2008

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE 2008):

1.  In Appendix 37 D, in Table 2 for Sports Goods, Fire Works and Stationery Items, the following amendment is made:-
   1.  In Table 2, in the column with heading “ITC(HS) Code” at Sl. No. 17, a new ITC(HS) Code 85052000 is inserted, in addition to the existing ITC(HS) Code.
      
      
   2. In Table 2, in the column with heading “Description” (of focus products) at Sl. No. 17, a new focus product, namely, Staples in Strips is added, in addition to the existing products.
      
      
2. Consequently, export of Staples in Strips (ITC(HS) Code 85052000) will be entitled for Focus Product Scheme benefits on exports made w.e.f 1.4.2008.
   
   This issues in Public interest.
