PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 148 (RE-2008)/2004-2009
NEW DELHI, DATED THE 17th February, 2009
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy
2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following
amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE 2008):
- In Appendix 37 D, in Table 2 for Sports Goods, Fire Works and Stationery
Items, the following amendment is made:-
(i) In Table 2, against Sl. No. 6, under the column with heading “ITC(HS) Code”,
two new ITC(HS) Codes, i.e., 650610 and 420321 are inserted, in addition to the
existing ITC(HS) Code 9506.
(ii) In Table 2, under the column with heading “Description” (of focus
products), the product description against Sl. No. 6 is amended to read as
under:
“Articles & equipment for gymnastics, athletics, other sports (including Table
Tennis)/outdoor games, n.e.s.; swimming pools & paddling pools, cricket helmets
and gloves, mittens and mitts, specially designed for use in sports.”
- Consequently, export of cricket helmets (covered under ITC (HS) Code 650610)
and gloves, mittens and mitts, specially designed for use in sports (covered
under ITC(HS) Code 420321) will be entitled for Focus Product Scheme benefits on
exports made w.e.f 1.4.2008.
