In
exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade
(Development and Regulation) Act, 1992
(No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,
1997-2002, the Central Government hereby, in partial modification of the
Notification No. 20 (RE-99)/97-2002 dated 9.7.99, makes the following amendment
in the entry at Code No. 1207 relating to export of Niger Seeds, in Schedule 2
Table B of the book titled "ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import
items 1997-2002."

Exports
through TRIFED (to all
permissible destinations other than the USA) in accordance with the
directions issued by DGFT from time to time.
For
export of Niger Seeds to USA, the following canalising agencies may
undertake exports directly or may register qualified exporters to whom
permits may be granted for undertaking export of Niger Seeds:
1.
The National Agricultural Co-operative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED).
2.
The National Dairy Development Board
(NDDB).
3.
The Madhya Pradesh State Co-operatives Oil Seeds Growers Federation Ltd.
4.
The Karnataka State Agricultural Produce Processing and Export
Corporation; and
5.
Bihar and Andhra Pradesh Government nominated agencies.
