Amendments in the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods) Rules, 1988
|
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 156 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods) Rules, 1988, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods) Amendment Rules, 2004.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods) Rules, 1988, in sub-rule (2) of rule 9, after third proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
Provided also that in case of goods imported by sea stuffed in a container for clearance at an Inland Container Depot or Container Freight Station, the cost of freight incurred in the movement of container from the port of entry to the Inland Container Depot or Container freight Station shall not be included in the cost of transport referred to in clause (a).
