Amendments in Various Notifications
Customs Notification No. 129 dated 20th November 2002
Whereas the designated authority vide its Notification No.14/9/2002-DGAG published in Part I, Section I of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 22nd May, 2002, has initiated review in the matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA), originating in, or exported from, Korea RP, Thailand and Indonesia, imposed vide notifications of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 13/98-Customs, dated the 28th April, 1998 and No. 99/ 2000-Customs dated the 11th July, 2000, and has requested for extension of anti-dumping duty for an additional period of three months, pending the completion of the review;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (5) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), read with rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995 the Central Government hereby directs that the notification of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended, or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

In the said notification, after the TABLE the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely:
�2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of the 20th day of February, 2003, unless the notification is revoked earlier.� |

In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the words and figures �20th day of November, 2002�, the words and figures �20th day of February, 2003� shall be substituted. |
