Amendments- ITC (HS) Appendix IV to Schedule - I
Notification No. 12 dated 28th
April 2000
In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of
the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3
and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002,the Central Government hereby
makes the following amendments in the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and
Import Items, 1997-2002 published on 31st March, 1997(RE-98) as
amended from time to time, namely:
"A new Appendix IV to Schedule I of ITC (HS)
Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002, shall be annexed as per
annexure A of this notification."

Annexure
to Notification No. 12 Dated 28th April 2000
Import of Chemicals included in the Schedule 2 to
the Chemical Weapons Convention of the United Nations, signed in Paris on 13-15
January 1993 as under, is permitted only from the State parties to the
Convention:
(i)
Amiton O, O-Diethyl S- [2-(diethylamino) ethyl] phosphorothiolate and
corresponding alkylated or protonated salts
(ii)
PFIB: 1,1,3,3,3, -Pentafluoro-2- (trifluoromethyl) 1-propene
(iii) BZ:
3-Quinuclidiny 1 benzilate (*)
(iv)
Chemicals, except for those listed in Schedule 1, containing a phosphorus
atom to which is bonded one methyl, ehtyl or propyl (normal or Iso) group but
not further carbon atoms.
e.g. Methylphosphonyl dichloride Dimethyl
methylphosphonate Exemption: Fonofos: O-Ethyl S-Phenyl ethyl
