G.S.R. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962(52 of 1962), read with section 91 read with section 94 of the Finance Act (No.2), 2004 (23 of 2004), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.69/2004-Customs, dated the 9th July, 2004, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Table,-
(i) against S. No.1,-
(a) the figures “5208 53, 5210 42, 5210 52, 5513 22 00, 5513 32 00, 5513 33 00, 5513 42 00, 5513 43 00, 5702 52, 6101 10, 8517 21 00, 8517 22 00, 8517 80, 8517 90 10, 8524 31, 8524 40, 8524 91,” occurring in column (2), shall be omitted;
(b) for the figures “5514 31 00, 5514 32 00, 5514 33 00, 5514 39 00” occurring in column (2), the figures “5514 30” shall be substituted;
(c) for the figures “6104 19” occurring in column (2), the figures “6104 19 (except of wool or fine animal hair or cotton)” shall be substituted;
(d) for the figures “6207 99” occurring in column (2), the figures “6207 99 (other than goods of man-made fibres)” shall be substituted;
(e) for the figures “8469 11 00” occurring in column (2), the figures “8469 00 10” shall be substituted;
(f) for the figures “8473 29” occurring in column (2), the figures “8473 29 00” shall be substituted;
(g) for the figures “8473 50” occurring in column (2), the figures “8473 50 00” shall be substituted;
(h) for the figures “8517 11, 8517 19 ” occurring in column (2), the figures “line telephone sets and line videophones of heading 8517” shall be substituted;
(i) for the figures “8520 20 00” occurring in column (2), the figures “8519 50 00” shall be substituted;
(j) for the figures and words “8523 (except 8523 30 00)” occurring in column (2), the figures and words “all prepared unrecorded media for sound recording or similar recording of other phenomena, other than products of Chapter 37 (excluding cards incorporating a magnetic stripe) of heading 8523,” shall be substituted;
(k) for the figures “8524 31, 8524 40, 8524 91” occurring in column (2), the words and figures “recorded media for reproducing phenomena other than sound or image, of heading 8523” shall be substituted;
(l) for the figures “8542 90 00” occurring in column (2), the figures and words “parts of electronic integrated circuits and micro-assemblies, of tariff item 8523 52 00 or 8542 90 00” shall be substituted;
(m) for the figures “8543 81 00” occurring in column (2), the figures “8543 59 10” shall be substituted;
(n) for the figures “9027 80” occurring in column (2), the figures “9027 80(except exposure meters)” shall be substituted;
(ii) after S.No.1, and the entries relating thereto, following S.No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

(iii) against S. No. 8, for the entry in column (2), the entry “Tung oil and its fractions falling under sub-heading 1515 90, other than goods covered under S. No.29, 30 and 31 of the Table annexed to the notification No. 21/2002-Customs, dated 1st March 2002” shall be substituted;
(iv) after S.No.11 and the entries relating thereto, following S.No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

(v) against S.No.28, for the figures “8524”, the figures “ 8523” shall be substituted;
(vi) against S.No.29, for the figures “8525 40 00”, the figures “ 8525 80 20 ” shall be substituted;
(vii) against S.No.42, for the words and figures “sub-heading 8543 89”, the words and figures “tariff item 8543 70 99” shall be substituted;
(viii) against S.No.44, for the figures “8544 41”, the figures “8544 49” shall be substituted;
(ix) against S.No.46, for the figures “8544 51”, the figures “8544 42” shall be substituted.
