Notification
S.O. 1899(E).– WHEREAS, the proposal of M/s. M.P. Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam
(Indore)
Limited for setting up of a Special Economic Zone for information technology
and/or
information technology enabled services at Indore in the State of Madhya Pradesh
was
approved on the 22nd June, 2006 by the Board of Approval constituted by the
notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of
Commerce)
number 14/1/2004-EPZ, dated the 7th August, 2001 and the possession of the land
for the said
purposes was already taken over by M.P. Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (Indore)
Limited
prior to 2006;
AND WHEREAS, sub-rule (3) of rule 5 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006
covers all
the approval accorded or recommendation made by the Board of Approval before the
commencement of the said rules for setting up of Special Economic Zone for
various sectors
and makes further provisions for development of setting up of such Special
Economic Zones;
AND WHEREAS, the Central Government with a view to give continuity to the said
proposal
of M.P. Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (Indore) Limited considers it necessary that
the
recommendation given by the Board of Approval be notified in terms of the
Special Economic
Zones Rules, 2006;
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the
Special Economic
Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones
Rules, 2006 and
after the grant of the letter of approval on the 22nd June, 2006 under sub
section (10) of section
3 to M/s. M.P. Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (Indore) Limited for setting up of a
Special
Economic Zone for information technology and/ or information technology enabled
services,
the Central Government, on being satisfied that the requirements under
sub-section (8) of
section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled, hereby
notifies the
following area at Khandwa Road, Bhanwarkuan, Indore in the State of Madhya
Pradesh
comprising of the survey number and area given in the table below, as Special
Economic
Zone, namely:-
