Changes in Export Policy related to powder milk (skimmed or full cream),
ghee, and other milk products
Notification No. 19 dated 2nd

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of
the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read
with Paragraph 1.3 and Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002
(incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby
makes the following amendment in the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and
Import items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998)
and as amended from time to time:
�The words �powder milk (skimmed or full
cream)� and �ghee and� appearing at Code No. 0402 in Table B of Schedule 2
shall be deleted.
Consequent on above deletion, the entry at Code No.
0402 may be amended to read as under:
�Whole and Infant Milk Food, pure milk butter,
except when exported as branded products in consumer packs, not exceeding 5 Kgs.
in weight, for which these conditions shall not apply�.
The above amendment will be effective from the date
of issue of Public Notice No. 48(RE-1998) 1997-2002, dated 13th October 1998
under which the same amendment was made in respect of the entry at S.No. 29 in
Appendix 1 to Schedule-2.

�The entries relating to textile items at Code No. 0007, 0008 and 0009
in Table A of Schedule 2 shall be deleted.�
The above amendment will be effective from
the date of issue of Notification No.7 (RE-2000)/ 1997-2002, dated the 31st
March, 2000 under which same amendment was made by deleting entries at Sl. No.9,
9A and 11 in Appendix 1 to Schedule 2.
