Customs Tariff (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003 (1 of 2003)
Customs
Notification No. 16 dated 24th January 2003
In
exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs
Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is
necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments
in all the notifications issued under the said sub-section and for the time
being in force on the date of the commencement of the Customs Tariff (Amendment)
Ordinance, 2003 (1 of 2003), namely: -
In
each of the said notifications, for any reference to the Chapter, heading or
sub-heading of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975),
as the case may be, relating to any goods or class of goods, wherever occurring
in the said notification, the corresponding reference to the Chapter, heading or
sub-heading, of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975)
as amended by the Customs Tariff (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003 (1 of 2003) shall
be deemed to have been substituted.
(2)
This notification shall come into force on the date of the commencement
of the Customs Tariff (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003 (1 of 2003).
