Public Notice No. 48 dated 27^th January 2000

1.      In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of INDIA extraordinary, Part-II- Section 3 � Sub-section (ii) vide S.O.No.283 (E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/ corrections in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE-99), 1997-2002.

2.      The following amendments may be made in Appendix 28A.

(i)        The description of item at S. No.464 under Product Group: Engineering (Product Code 61) may be corrected to read as follows:

           "Non Alloy Steel Flanges/ Couplings/ Tees/ Elbows"

(ii)       The description of item at S.No.970 under Product Group: Chemicals (Product Code 62) may be corrected to read as follows:

           "Piperazine Citrate BP 88/ USP 22"

(iii)       The description of item at S.No.487 under Product Group Chemical may be corrected to read as follows:

     " Synthetic Enamel White Paint (minimum 28% Titanium Dioxide Contents)/ Synthetic Enamel Colour Paints".

(iv)       The description of the item at S.No.621 under Product Group: Chemicals (Product Code 622) may be corrected to read as follows:

           "1-(2-Propenyl)-1,3-Dihydro-2-H Benzimidazol-2-One (Minimum 99% Purity)."

(v)        The description of the item at S.No.622 under Product Group: Chemicals (Product Code 622) may be corrected to read as follows:

           " 1-(3-Chloropropyl)-2-Benzimidazoline".

(vi)       The description of item at S.No.25 of the product group Textiles: (Product Code 89) may be amended to read as follows:

           "Lady Dresses including Salwar, Kurta, Choli, Kameez & Lehenga".
