DEPB Scheme
Public Notice No. 28 dated 29th July 1997
1. In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy. 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the credit rates under DEPB scheme in respect of items as given in the Annexure I to this Public Notice. The annexure will form part of Appendix-28A of Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1), 1997-2002.
2. The DEPB rate against entry at S.No. 69 of Engineering product given in Annexure to public notice 10/ 97-2002 dated 21.5.97 shall be corrected to read as 12% instead of 18%.
3. The DEPB rate against entry at S.No.230 of Engineering product given in Annexure to public notice. 17/ 97-2002 dated 13th June, 97 shall be corrected to read as 12% instead of 18%.
4. The entry at S.No. 70 of Engineering product given in Annexure to public notice 10/ 97-2002 dated 21.5.97 shall be corrected to read as under "S.No. 70:
(i) Bright Bars made out of Stainless steel � 20%
(ii) Bright Bars made out of mild steel - 13%
(iii) Bright bars made out of items other than Stainless steel and mild steel - 13%
5. The entry at S.No. 77 of engineering products given in Annexure to public notice 10/ 97-2002 dated 21.5.97 may be deleted.
6. The description of item at S.No. 65 of Electronic products given in Annexure to public notice 10/ 97-2002 dated 21.5.97 shall be corrected to read as 'Compact Disc Audio/ Compact Disc (ROM)' instead of 'CD ROM'.
7. The rate of credit against S.No. 121 of Chemical product given in Annexure to public notice 10/ 97-2002 dated 21.5.97 shall be corrected to read as '12% instead of '15%'.
8. The description of Item given at S.No. 381 of Engineering product given in Annexure to Public Notice No. 20/ 97-2002 dated 24.6.97 shall be corrected to read as 'Non-Alloy Steel Bars & Rods (including Rounds Flats. Hexagons. Octagons, Wire Rods, Cold Twisted deformed Bars, Thermo mechanically treated reinforcing Bars, etc.,), Angles, Shapes & Sections (including Beam, Joist, Channels. special profiles etc.) and Rails'.
9. The description of export product under S.No. 353 and 354 of chemical product given in Annexure to public notice No. 16/ 97-2002 shall be amended to read as Sugar/ Milk Pots made of Porcelain and Tea/ Coffee Pots made of Porcelain.
10. The description of export product under S.No. 91 of Engineering product given in Annexure to public notice No.10/ 97-2002 dated 21st May, 1997 shall be corrected to read as 'Cold Rolled/ galvanised, Colour coated sheets/ strips/ wide coils of colour coated steel sheets/ CR/ CRGP/ GC sheets/ strips/ wide coil'.
11. The description of export product under SI. No. 392 of Engineering Product given in Annexure to Public Notice No. 20/ 97-2002 dated 24.6.97 may be corrected to read as 'Ferro Chrome containing by weight minimum 60% chromium and maximum 1.5% carbon (produced by Silico Thermic Reduction Process)'.
12. The entry under SI. No. 42 of Annexure to Public Notice No. 25/ 97-2002 dated 11.7.97 may be corrected to read as under:
i. Cotton and acrylic blended yarn (Acrylic content not less than 50% by weight) -6 %.
ii. Cotton and Acrylic blended yarn (Acrylic content not less than 35% by weight) -4%.
13. The description �dyed/ dyed and printed' appearing at S.No. 43 and 44 of Annexure to public notice No. 25/ 97 -2002 dated 11.7.97 may be corrected to read as 'dyed and or printed'.
14. The description of export product under Sl.No 46 of Annexure to Public Notice No. 25/ 97-2002 dated 11.7.97 may be corrected to read as 'grey/ bleached/ dyed and/ or printed fabrics manufactured out of spun yarn from manmade fibre.
15. The description of export product at S.No. 47 may be corrected to read as under:
i. Fabrics/ Sarees/ made ups made out of blended manmade filament yarn with or without metallised yarn (with or without embroidery)
ii. Fabrics/ Sarees/ made ups made out of blended spun yarn from manmade fibre and manmade filament yarn with or without metallised yarn (with or without embroidery)
16. The description of export product under SI. No. 50 of Annexure to public notice No. 25/ 97-2002 dated 11.7.97 may be corrected to read as 'Polyester filament/ Texturised/ Spun yarn (Polyester content 100% by weight)'.
17. The description of export product under SI. No. 57 of Annexure to Public Notice No. 25/ 97-2002 dated 11.7.97 may be corrected to read as Polyester- Woollen blended yarn (Polyester content not less than 55% by weight).
18. Appendix-11 C shall be substituted by the form given in Annexure II to this public notice. However, DECLARATION/ UNDERTAKING' and 'Documents to be enclosed with application form' will remain the same.
19. Appendix-11 D shall be substituted by the form given in Annexure III to this public notice.
20. Appendix-11 E shall be substituted by the form given in Annexure IV to this public notice. However, 'DECLARATION/ UNDERTAKING' and 'Documents to be enclosed with application form' will remain the same.
