Attention is invited to the entry at Code No. 5205 in Table B of Schedule 2 and Sl.No.6 of Appendix-I to Schedule 2 in the book titled � ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002� (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) and as amended from time to time:
2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st March, 2001) the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Public Notice No.51 (RE-2000)/ 1997-2002 dated 2.1.2001:
The following sentence may be added to the sub-paragraph 2(iii)(d) of the above Public Notice:
� Those EPCG units which are subject to restrictions pertaining to count/ sourcing domestic cotton would be permitted to export cotton yarn without such restrictions upto 31st December, 2001 as long as such exports are also within the overall quantitative ceiling of 500 million Kgs.�
