Export and Import Policy April 1997-March, 2002 - Policy relating to import of Wheat by Roller Flour Mills
Public Notice No. 11 dated 28th May 1997
Attention is invited to the nature of restriction No. (ii) against SI. No.7 in Part Ill, Paragraph 15.3, Canalised Items of the Negative List of Imports as contained in Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 according to which wheat is permitted to be imported in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf.
2. In pursuance to the above Roller Flour Mills are permitted to freely import wheat to meet their own requirement for milling purposes only and sale of the resultant flour only in domestic market, after registering their import contracts with Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) who will monitor the actual imports made against these contracts.
3. Imports made in accordance with the provisions of this Public Notice shall be strictly subject to Actual User condition and such imports shall be required to be completed before 31st March 1998.
