Export of Coarse Grains - Canalised Items
Policy Circular No. 43 dated 13th October 1998
Attention is invited to the entry at S. No. 12(ii) of Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled "ITC (HS) Classifications of export and import items 1997-2002."
2. Attention is also invited to Policy Circular No.25 (RE-98)/ 98-99 DT. 24.7.98, releasing a ceiling of 23,900 MT of Coarse-grains for the Current Licensing year.
3. It has been decided to release annual ceiling of one lakh MT of Coarse-grains for export during the licensing year 1998-99 and place it at the disposal of APEDA who will allocate the ceiling as per procedure to be specified by them. However, the annual export ceiling of one-lakh tonnes for coarse-grains is inclusive of the 25,000 MI of the export ceiling of Coarse-grains already released.
4. A suitable Trade Notice may be issued immediately for information of the Trade and copies thereof sent to the office for record.
5. APEDA will ensure that the overall ceiling of coarse-grains as above shall not exceed the limit of one lakh MT under any circumstances and as soon as the ceiling is exhausted, APEDA will report the fact to the M/ O Commerce (EP-Agri.ll) Section under intimation to DGFT.
6. Monthly statement indicating the full details, such as name of the exporter, the quantity allowed, FOB value and destination will be furnished by APEDA to the M/ O Commerce, (EP-Agri.ll) Section" with a copy to the Stat. Division of this office.
