Export of Sandalwood & Species of Exotic Birds
Public Notice No. 3 dated 13th April 1998
Attention is invited to the Public Notice No. 26/ 1997-2002, dated 14th July 1997, wherein the conditions and procedures to be followed in respect of export of sandalwood in the form of heartwood chips, mixed chips, flakes of the sandalwood classes mentioned in Annexure I to the said Public Notice, Sapwood chips/ powder and sandalwood dust obtained as waste after the manufacturing process have been specified. Attention is also invited to the Public Notice No. 59/ 1997-2002
dated 11th December 1997, wherein the conditions and procedures to be followed in respect of export of species of Exotic birds as mentioned in Annexure I to the said Public Notice have been specified.
2. The Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the above referred Public Notice No. 26/ 1997-2002 dated 14th July 1997 and Public Notice No. 59/ 1997-2002 dated 11th December 1997:
i. The date of 31st March 1998 appearing in Paragraph 8 of Public Notice No. 26/ 1997-2002 dated 14th July 1997 amended vide Public Notice No. 65/ 1997-2002 dated 12th January 1998 shall be further amended to read as 31st October 1998.
ii. The date of 31st March 1998 appearing in Paragraph 7 of Public Notice No. 59/ 1997-2002 dated 11th December 1997 shall be amended to read as 30th June 1998.
3. All other conditions of the above referred Public Notice No. 26/ 1997-2002 and Public Notice No. 59/ 1997-2002 dt. 11th December 1997 shall remain unchanged.
