No. 323 dated 2nd August 1976
In
exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Customs
Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), and in supersession of the notification of the
Central Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking No.
51-Customs, dated the 16th March, 1976, the Central Government being
satisfied that it is necessary in the interest of trade so to do, hereby directs
that the preferential rate in respect of the articles specified in column (3) of
the Table hereto annexed, and falling under the Heading, specified in the
corresponding entry in column (2) thereof, shall be increased to the standard
rate of duty specified in respect of that Heading.
