Public Notice No. 72 date 19th February 1998
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary. Part-II Section 3-Sub-section (ii) vide S.O. No, 283(E) dated 31.3.97; the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1), 1997-2002:
1. The description of export product appearing at S.No. 68 of Annexure to Public Notice No 25 dated 11th July, 1997 shall be amended to read as under:
Article of Hosiery/ knitwear made of woollen blended yarn (the synthetic content in the blended yarn should not be less than 65%).
2. The description of export product appearing at 8.No. 503 of Annexure to Public Notice No.16 dated 16th June 1997 shall be amended to read under Chloropyriphos Technical 94% purity minimum.
General Note: "wherever, any purity has been specified in a DEPB rate" the same shall refer to minimum purity' and the exporter exporting the product having higher purity than the prescribed one shall also be entitled for the DEPB rate given for the product with specified purity".
3. The description of export product appearing at S.No. 79 of Annexure to Public Notice No.16 dated 16th June 1997 shall be amended to read as under.
Powerah/ Hoe/ Pickaxe/ Kudall/ Pick Mattock/ Cutter Mattock/ Trowel/ Transplantor/ Fork/ Cultivator/ Weeder made of Iron and/ or Steel'
4. The description of export product appearing at 8.No. 209 of Annexure to Public Notice No.17 dated 13th June, 1997 shall be amended to read as under:
'Rakes/ Garden Rakes/ Fork Manure Hooked made of Iron and/ or Steel'
5. The description of export product appearing at S.No. 218 of Annexure to Public Notice No.17 dated 13th June. 1997 shall be amended to read as under:
Shovels (Spades) with Wooden Handle made of iron and/ or Steel'
6 The DEPB rate for export product given at S.No. 380 of Annexure to Public Notice No.20 dated 24th June 1997 of Engineering product shall be deleted.
7. The DEPB rate for export product given at 8.No. 388 of Annexure to Public Notice No.20 dated 24th June 1997 of Engineering product shall be deleted.
8. The DEPB rate for exports products given at S.No. 12, 13, 14, 33 and 34 of Annexure to Public Notice No.16 dated 16th May; June 1997 of Electronics products shall be deleted.
9. The word and expression 'Formulation of bulk drug' as given in 8,No. 37,38, 39 and 40 of chemical product as given in Annexure to Public Notice No.10 dated 21.5.97 may be amended to read as 'Formulation or bulk drug. This issue in public interest
