Notification No. 12 dated 30th January 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section
(1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government,
being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, makes the
following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in
the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 17/2001-Customs, dated the
1st March, 2001, namely: -
In the said notification, -
(i)
In the Table, for S. No 69 and the entries relating thereto, the
following shall be substituted, namely:

(ii)
in the Annexure,-
(a) After Condition
No. 6 and the entry relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely: -

"6A.

If, at the time and
place of importation, the importer produces to the Deputy Commissioner of
Customs or the Assistant Commissioner of Customs, as the case may be, a
certificate to the effect that the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal which is
to supply LNG to the power project for which the import is being made, has not
been commissioned.";

(b) After
List 35 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted,
namely: -
