In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11BB of the Central
Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and in supersession of the notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 41/
2001-Central Excise (NT) dated 12th May, 2000 published in the
Gazette of India vide number G.S.R. 448 (E) dated the 12th May, 2000,
the Central Government hereby fixes the rate of interest at nine per cent, per
annum for the purposes of the said section.
