Placement of quantity of 8500 MTs of Raw Sugar from the free sale Quota
of 2000-2002 Season (October 1, 2001 to September 30, 2002) for export of
Preferential Raw Sugar Tariff Rate Quota for the fiscal year 2002 (October 1,
2001 to September 30, 2002) to
Circular No. 27 dated 20th February 2002
Attention is invited to Policy Circular No.20
(RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated 22nd January 2002 on the above subject.
2.
In para 3 of the above Policy Circular the condition of pre-shipment
certificate by Export Inspection Council is deleted. After above modification, the said para
3 shall be read as under:
�The existing procedure in
respect of preferential sugar export to the USA for issue of GSP Certificate as
well as other certification requirements if any prescribed specifically for
export of sugar to USA shall continue to be followed. The Indian Sugar Exim
Corporation Ltd. shall be sole agency authorised to export raw sugar from the
free sale quota to USA�.
3.
All other conditions mentioned in the above-referred Policy Circular
dated 22.1.2002 shall continue to apply.
4.
This issues with the approval of Director General of Foreign Trade.
