Regarding production description under SS. No. 87.09 of the Drawback
Table

Certain
representations have been received in this Directorate seeking clarification
whether in the Sub-Serial No. 87.09 in the Drawback Table, the description of
the goods is "Others" or "Other Tippers".
It is hereby
clarified that the word "Tipper" has inadvertently credit into the
product description of SS. No. 87.09 in the Drawback Table, 1998-99 and the said
error has continued in the current Drawback Table. The product description
against S.No. 87.09 should be read as "Others" only, which can notes
"Chassis of Motor Vehicles of pay load exceeding 4000 kgs."
This may be
brought to the notice of the staff concerned and the trade. Also kindly
acknowledge the receipt of this Circular.
