Notification
S.O. 1441(E).– WHEREAS, the proposal of Adityapur Industrial Area Development
Authority for setting up of a Special Economic Zone for automobiles and
components at
Adityapur in the State of Jharkhand was approved on the 22nd September, 2005 by
the
Board of Approval constituted by the notification of the Government of India in
the
Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) number 14/1/2004-EPZ,
dated the 7th August, 2001 and the possession of the land for the said purposes
was
already taken over by Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority prior to
2006;
AND WHEREAS, sub-rule (3) of rule 5 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006
covers
all the approval accorded or recommendation made by the Board of Approval before
the
commencement of the said rules for setting up of Special Economic Zone for
various
sectors and makes further provisions for development of setting up of such
Special
Economic Zones;
AND WHEREAS, the Central Government with a view to give continuity to the said
proposal of Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority considers it
necessary that
the recommendation given by the Board of Approval be notified in terms of the
Special
Economic Zones Rules, 2006;
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the
Special Economic
Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones
Rules, 2006
and after the grant of the letter of approval on the 14th June, 2006 under sub
section (10) of
section 3 to Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority for setting up of a
sector
specific Special Economic Zone for automobiles and components, the Central
Government,
on being satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of
the said Act
and other related requirements are fulfilled, hereby notifies the following area
at
Adityapur, District Seraikela-Kharsawan, in the State of Jharkhand comprising of
the
Khata numbers and the area given in the Table below, as Special Economic Zone,
namely:-
